HOW TO PLAY POWERBALL

Pick Your Number of Plays

Each playslip has five Play Areas (A–E) with boxes numbered 1–69 in the upper white Play Area and 1–26 in the lower shaded Play Area. You can play a single set of numbers (A) or up to five sets (A–E), with each play costing $2.00.

Pick Your Numbers

Choose any five numbers 1–69 and one POWERBALL number 1–26 in each Play Area, or mark the Quick Pick (QP) box on your playslip to let the computer choose for you.

Play Multiple Drawings

Mark the appropriate Multi-Draw box to play your chosen numbers for up to 10 consecutive drawings (including the current drawing).

Add Power Play

For an additional $1.00 per play, add Power Play to your playslip. See below for details on how you could multiply your winnings by adding this feature.

Check Your Winnings

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The quickest and easiest way is to scan your ticket or check the winning numbers using the TN Lottery App. Powerball prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date.

Buy Your Ticket

There are 4 play options for Powerball: a $2 Powerball ticket, a $3 Powerball with Power Play ticket, a $3 Powerball with Double Play ticket or a $4 Powerball with Power Play and Double Play ticket. Check your playslip carefully to make sure you have correctly marked each selection before presenting it to a Tennessee Lottery retailer. POWERBALL tickets cannot be canceled!

Add Double Play

For an additional $1.00 per play, add Double Play to your playslip. See below for details on the Double Play feature.

How Power Play Works

Before POWERBALL numbers are drawn, a Power Play number (2, 3, 4, 5 or 10) is randomly selected. The 10 multiplier is only available for selection when the advertised annuity jackpot is $150 million or less. If you win any non-jackpot prize (except 5 of 5), your regular prize amount will be multiplied by the Power Play number drawn. If you’ve added Power Play to your ticket and match all five white balls, you win $2 million instantly!

How Double Play Works

Double Play allows you the chance to win additional prizes up to $10 million in a second drawing held after the Powerball drawing, using the same numbers you played on your Powerball ticket. If you add Double Play, your ticket can be a winner on either the Powerball drawing, the Double Play drawing or both! Power Play does not apply to Double Play prizes.

REMEMBER:

Do not use red ink.
Sign the back of your ticket so no one but you can claim the prize. The playslip is not valid proof of a ticket purchase or numbers selected. You are responsible for the accuracy of your ticket.
